Stunning setting! Our family loved the views, activities and most of all the sheep. Overall it was a special venue that we would recommend to everyone.
I slept very badly because there is an LED floodlight in the room that does not have a switch. No way to put it down. No man can sleep with such a light in the room.
Beautiful surroundings and neat accommodation would recommend anytime for a nice break.

Lovely location and setting.
It was a very nice experience, and we would love to visit Lesoba again. The view from our apartment was beautiful, with a small pond and a mountain just in front of our porch. We did one of the walks there which gave us a brilliant view of the Maluti Mountains and the Caledon River.

Stay was wonderful. Owner is friendly and helpful. We did the dinosaur walk and the directions to the point could be improved, although the directions back were much clearer. The water in the pond was a bit low and fish on the less side no catch in 3 days. The nature is picturesque and beautiful. We rested wonderfully and other vacationers were friendly.
It was very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The silence and calm was highly enjoyed. Friendly people and the host was always available.

It is a very cosy place, set in the mountains of the Free State. The kitchen was small but effective, the grass was nice and short, and very well kept. Perfect for a sleepover, or getaway weekend. The connectivity was a bit of an issue, with the WiFi only working in a certain area, and not in our abode.

Lovely overnight stay at Lesoba, unfortunately it just wasn't long enough. Scenery is breathtaking and my husband hiked a short 45-minute route before sunset and managed to capture some amazing pictures. Host was welcoming and efficient, and our chalet was immaculate on arrival. Only downside was no WiFi - but - in today's crazy world it's perhaps a blessing. Thank you!

Absolutely excellent location. It is definitely self-catering only. What the place got my top mark so, if the following little things might be made available. Need a strong WiFi signal in the chalets. If you only come to visit for the hiking trails and maybe spend the night for a few days, this is essential for me as a tourist. Please, location, maybe owners can provide some little things like fresh milk, coffee and biscuits. Even if it is at extra cost. Get a TV with DSTV channels for the guests. As a tourist, this is a basic requirement. Great for escaping the world and technology, but not so great for the tourist wanting to keep his finger on the pulse of the world.

Very pleasant host, beautiful clean chalets with an awesome view. We partook in mountain biking and walks. Clarens is approximately 26 km away, however easily accessible since the road to it from Lesoba is top notch. We had some power issues due to a heavy storm which affected the area's supply, but it was soon restored. The swimming pool was under repairs and did not affect us due to three days of continued rain. I'm sure it will be good to swim in in a week or two after the holidays.
Rulé is definitely a friendly welcome. The comfortable accommodation with a beautiful view makes this a "dream destination". This was not the first time and certainly not the last time.

Amazing place if you are not interested in watching TV and want to enjoy the outdoors. It is close to Clarens and Fouriesburg town. The environment is very safe, the farm is clean, and the houses are well maintained and neat.

The day before our arrival I was contacted through a peaceful message by owner to find out about my family etc. We were greeted and received by the sweetest and friendliest owner and a lovely upgrade from original booked unit, due to not very busy bookings, was offered to us.
No. 2 Rondavel equipped with gas heater, boys fished in pond in front of the rondavels. Very beautiful surroundings and hiking trails worth it. Rondavel is warm and beds and mattresses slept well. The tranquility and quiet evenings were definitely a plus. Has Wi-Fi access near our Rondawel, but rarely used it. We had a small Yorkie dog who did all the walks with us and there is plenty of space to move. The evening air was clear and the stars beautiful. The drive to Clarens was 30 km this way and Fouriesburg about 40 km, not far to drive to both places.
We will definitely be returning; it was truly worth the trip. The night sky revealed a breathtaking view of the Milky Way, while the owner's friendliness added to the overall experience. Moreover, my daughter had the wonderful opportunity to feed a lamb, and we were captivated by the stunning scenery.

We were 6 men on a bike tour for the weekend. Could do everything from our chalet. Nice short dirt road to chalet. Our house did not have WiFi and the area also had no signal, but we did get signal at another house. Everyone was very happy about the beautiful, peaceful and picturesque area. Will go again!

Chalet 4 is very spacious and fully equipped in the kitchen for a weekend getaway. The WiFi is some distance from the house which helps you to put your phone aside and enjoy nature. There is a beautiful view of the valley with a sandstone mountain on the left. It's wonderfully cool in the thatched roof. Rule is a very good hostess and we were able to relax with our 3 Jack Russels together with our parents. Enough warm blankets and hot water for our five people. I recommend this destination for a getaway from the city. It's 4 hours from Pretoria.
No signal and when power arrives you have to stand in a certain place to get signal. Inconvenient when someone is looking for you urgently. Chalets very nice and view is very nice. Hiking trails need attention. More indicators are needed.

Lesoba is a piece of paradise in the Free State! Our hostess, Annelie, is a gem and made everything perfect for us. We will come again for sure!
Unit is well appointed. Crisp linen, firm beds. Kitchen is practical with everything you will need and necessary crockery. The unit does not have a porch, but it does have a braai area and social area a short distance from the house. Nice view. Provisions have been made for mobile phones to charge, mirror near power point for hair blowing, place to sit in the bathroom for toiletry bag, extra lights for load shedding, insecticide for flies as this is a working farm. Would maybe just recommend an information book for the unit with indicated walking routes and things to do in the area, history of area. Maybe also WiFi password and where catchment is. No cell phone reception at the resort itself, only a few hundred meters closer to the main road. Hostess was helpful. Would recommend unit and visit again myself.
We broke away for the few days between Christmas and New Years and couldn't have asked for a better place to rest and switch off. The surroundings are so picturesque, one will never tire of it. The cottage was neat and clean and our hostess, Anneli, was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone any day and can't wait to invite the rest of the family along next time.

Unfortunately also negative experiences such as an awful lot of flies. No fans in units. When load shedding also no water. Maybe put a canopy on the porch, because no coolness outside and doormat not effective when it rains. Pool was grass green.

We had a few car problems but nothing that could have been prevented by the owners of Lesoba Gasteplaas. We were kindly received even if we checked in late. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home and to help us with our problem (with the car). We appreciate everything.

Lesoba truly has one of the most beautiful views from neatly finished chalets. The kitchen is well equipped. We could choose between lazing around or hiking on the farm or in the surrounding area. Fouriesburg, Clarens and Golden Gate NP are conveniently close.
My children range from 8 to 16 years and all enjoyed the 2 day stay. We did a hike, fed lambs and my son tried fishing. The dam was a little disappointing as smaller than the pictures, but still a nice feature. Units close together, but fun as my younger two played with the other children. We would love to visit again. No fireplace, so may be cold in winter, but in October it was perfect weather.
Great option between Clarens and Fouriesburg. Nice and quiet, perfect for a break away from the city's noise and hustle and bustle. Picturesque nature.

You wake up and go to sleep with a picture-perfect view all around you. We had everything we needed and could rest well. Rulè and team are very hospitable and made our stay a pleasure.
There is now a roof over the stoep. Was initially under the impression that I had booked a different cottage, but our stay was nice. All that bothered me was that the neighbour's dog in the adjoining section was a bit restless and we had to prevent him from entering our room. But it was manageable.
Pet-friendly and a lot of space for my doggies to enjoy it as much as we did. Will definitely go again.

Lesoba is probably one of the places in the Eastern Free State with the most beautiful views, where the mountains, cloud masses and colors change every few hours and form picturesque scenes in the reflection of the farm dam. The tranquility, hiking opportunities and farm atmosphere round off everything for a perfect getaway. We can recommend the place with great confidence.

Anneli stepped in as hostess and what a lovely person! She spoiled us in all kinds of ways and we had a great time together. The people of Lesoba's hearts are just as beautiful as their leafy green flower garden and the beautiful mountain! Peace of mind
Lice in beds. Unity overflowed. 23:00 we had to try to get the house dry. On arrival at 18:30 there were workers replacing the shower door. Was extremely poor management from hostess. She dismissed all complaints, told lies and hurled personal insults. Upon arrival after hours of driving we could not use the bathroom because there were 3 workers. Their stuff was lying on the floor and I couldn't get to the fridge to put products in. The night the boys got into bed there were crawling lice in the bed. We made a video. Landlady said she sprayed 1 other house with poison on Thursday to get rid of those lice so she is aware of the problem but lets us sleep in the lice. Upon arrival I noticed the 30cm water line on the beige curtain. When we got home on Saturday night, the rooms were flooded. Hostess thinks she doesn't know about a flooding problem, what a lie, the curtains testify to the problem. She undertakes to repay our money on Saturday evening. Sunday morning her story changed to 50% refund to which I then indicated that this was not acceptable. She then proceeded to lash out at me with personal "insults" despite the fact that she doesn't know me at all and what she got out were unsolicited lies. She undertook to repay money on January 31. Needless to say, that didn't happen. After I followed up she did pay.
The room was very spacious and clean. The little kitchen was well-equipped with appliances and crockery. The electric blanket was a win in the cold weather and the towels were large and fluffy. The surrounding area is beautiful - ideal for a morning stroll.

Lesoba Guest Farm offers a peaceful getaway with a beautiful view and refreshing scenery. We enjoyed our visit, but would not want to spend more than an evening/weekend in Apartment 1 as privacy is limited because the porch, socializing and braai area is shared with the apartment next door. We also recommend that there is better control over the reception of guests, as there was no working bell at the gate or signal to get hold of reception. The minimal signal didn't bother us much, but might be a frustration for other guests. Furthermore, we had a nice and peaceful experience with a neat and 'cozy' apartment that offers everything one needs for a weekend visit!
Very peaceful and could just recharge your life battery. Our teenage sons really enjoyed the fishing and not to mention the walk at the mountain. We also went to say hello to Queen Victoria at the mountain. Our 2 dog children also felt very much at home and were not even afraid of the horse. Thanks to the owners who shared their piece of heaven with us.

I will definitely go back and recommend to friends and family. The area is absolutely beautiful. Our host Rule was very friendly and attentive. The walk was not too strenuous (there are a few different ones) and our doggy guides on the walks were amazing. Only one comment on the walks, the 11km could be marked a little better to avoid backtracking. Overall a wonderful restful farm experience. We felt we could have stayed for more than the 3 nights.

It was a really cold weekend, but the cottage has a gas heater and electric blanket which helps a lot. I would like them to mention that you can walk and cycle on the farm.
We enjoyed everything, the only recommendation that I would make is to put a kettle and some coffee mugs in the room.

The set up is comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful, the hiking trail is a big plus. The only thing that caught me is I didn't know in advance that there was no cell phone reception. At least there was WiFi available.
We had booked a basic rondawel, but before we arrived the owner, Rule, had upgraded us to a double bed unit with our own en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. This was very kind of him and without any extra charge. The accommodation was amazing and the farm, with its incredible views, was breathtaking. I felt quite emotional the next morning to see the sun rising over the farm with all its beautiful reflections in the dam and its incredible rock formations. The farm and its variety of accommodation was in excellent condition. Definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful and beautiful area. Units are very neat and perfect for these cold winter months. There are hiking trails and you are away from the two bustling towns but still close enough if you want to go out for a quick bite to eat or buy something. Enjoyed it a lot.

The accommodation was one of the best I have ever experienced for places that allow your dogs and your motorbike! It was great and I happily recommend it. The tranquility of the surroundings and the farm ensure a good rest and clearing of the mind!

Very nice location and view, very relaxing. Good distance between Fouriesburg and Clarens. The cottage itself was very nice but their focus on cleanliness inside the cottage was just bad (lots of cobwebs and moss on the walls and roof).

We planned to drive around the area but then enjoyed it so much that we stayed right there on the farm for the entire period. There are wonderful walks that vary from easy to challenging and the views are just indescribably beautiful. Rule was very helpful and friendly, thanks for a few days of rest for our souls!
The visit was wonderful among farm animals in a safe environment. We were able to walk around the farm freely and the hostess came to check regularly to see if everything was still in order.

Chalet 4 was very well equipped. Just had a problem with the toilet that wouldn't flush and the shower drain was blocked, water runs throughout the bathroom, also difficult to set the temperature of the shower, all of a sudden it goes hot then freezing cold.
Very pretty. No sign - it's perfect for a break from the busy city and life!

Accommodation is neat and clean with its own braai area.
Every day we were asked if we were ok or if something was missing. The farm dogs also came to visit and made themselves at home. It was nice to be in nature and away from the city noise and Corona problems! We were also privileged to witness and experience breathtaking base jumping by base jumpers who also stayed over.
We loved our stay. Rule and her sister were very pleasant and helpful. The farm has amazing hikes. The view across the dam with sheep grazing is very relaxing. A wonderful stay!

I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. We arrived there thinking we were in a chalet with a kitchen and bathroom facilities however this was not the case. Owner advised me that she did email myself informing me of this however I have checked my mails now returning from work and this was not relayed to us.
It would be better if there is WiFi just to stay connected with family.

Big problem was that there was a major plumbing problem in chalet 2. The contents of the toilet kept on coming up into the shower which made for difficult showering.
Neat clean and nice facilities. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. The braai facilities were also excellent. Even though it was raining, we were still able to barbecue under cover.

Then a bit of dirt road and you are at Lesoba Guest Farm: hikers heaven. The chalets are clean with all the facilities you need, an outdoor braai also with no light, a bit strange. I feel that if hiking is not your cup of tea, then you might get a little bored. No TV or mobile phone signal, activities such as archery, putting/chipping range, swimming pool, quad bike hire, horse riding, children's climbing frames are absent which could be to Lesoba's advantage. At times it felt like you weren't away on a weekend, but an intruder was on someone's private land. Lesoba is good but is capable of much more.
I stayed there for three nights and really can't complain about anything. Very beautiful, very neat and nice hiking trails. Will definitely want to stay there again in the future with my family.
Rondavel was neat and clean, as was the ablution block. Dirt road a bit stony for normal vehicle, but with slow driving there is no problem.

We considered the visit a lockdown breakaway. Beautiful chalet and surrounded by the Eastern Free State's landscape. Could have heard foxes through the night. Nice ride around the farm and just enjoying everything. Everything you need is there. Just be prepared for no cell phone signal. Will definitely go again.

The scenery is indescribably beautiful. The place is much more beautiful than one expects even after seeing the pictures on the website. There is no radio or TV and very little cell phone signal, which was a bonus for us. The chalet has everything one needs. We had a great time and rested well and will definitely go back again.

Our weekend stay for motorcyclists was upgraded by Rulè to one of the 5-star lodges. Had a nice braai under the lapa, and thoroughly enjoyed the company of the farm dogs. We were informed upon our arrival that we would be staying in the more luxurious place. The accommodations are very clean and furnished with care. The peace and natural beauty is like a piece of heaven on earth. Our accommodation (the chalet, the crockery, linen etc.) was durable, exquisite and luxurious, practical and clean. The people of Lesoba are people of the heart, friendly and no trouble is too much for them. And the dogs Lucy, Jafta and Lungo quickly crept into our hearts. We already want to go back and can't wait to visit again soon!

What a beautiful place, clean, neat and unspoilt environment. We are already planning to go back. There is no signal on the farm, which should make you want to drive if you run a business (like me). Otherwise, a guided hike will also come in handy, the farm is so large and unspoilt, we got lost with the hike, but still enjoyed it immensely.

Lesoba offers a great break from the noisy hustle and bustle of the city. The chalets overlook an impressive mountain ham and farm pond. Coupled with little sun exposure it makes a perfect resting place. There is clearly a high value placed on comfort, with a focus on detail such as good linen and towels, kitchen equipment, leather sofas, gas heaters and electric blankets. Lesoba is also pet friendly and they mean pet friendly! Lucy (a black Labrador) and her friends are just as friendly as her boss, Rule. There are walking routes located on the farm and there is a choice between 3 distances, suitable for the most inexperienced to the most seasoned walkers. We had a great stay and will definitely make Lesoba an annual institution.

As my son and I turned to Lesoba in the late afternoon we noticed a sign that said "Queen Victoria", but didn't pay it much mind, but then we saw another sign as we were closer to Lesoba - what an amazing sight of Queen Victoria in her finery to our right! Our cottage was lovely, fully equipped with electric blankets as a bonus. A delightful spot at the end of a long trip, highly recommended.

Had a very nice stay, the unit was very comfortable and very neat. A little maintenance will help a lot, the bathroom sink and tap are loose and the plug's seal was gone.
We would definitely recommend Lesoba! They are very helpful, friendly and available. Her fresh rusk just makes it even better. We will definitely stay there again. It's easy to find and close to Clarens but far enough to fully appreciate the nature and tranquility.
We had a great time! Beautiful view of the farm dam and mountains. Our apartment was well equipped with everything you need for a self-catering unit. We would only suggest that there should be a roof over the stoep as it is a high rainfall area and with the rain we could not fully utilize the stoep and braai facilities.
We only stayed one night after attending an event in Ficksburg but I definitely want to go back and stay for a few days. The chalet is spacious and well equipped and beautifully positioned for the lovely views. We watched the sheep and donkeys across the dam from our beautiful patio and it was just so peaceful. I really want to go back!
It would be better with TV reception (even if only SABC) and WiFi. Sometimes you just want to know what's going on outside, but it's not really a big problem, because you visit neighboring towns and then get up to date. Furthermore, the accommodation is excellent.
Rule is one of the best hostesses we met. The place is very neat and clean. The sandstone buildings stole my heart. We will definitely go there again should we be in the area again.

We really enjoyed the weekend! My husband and I have been married for 8 years this month and we were looking for a place just to disconnect from everything. And that was certainly what we did. The atmosphere is amazing! The farm dogs just made it that much more enjoyable, we love animals so that was a bonus. We did the 6 hour hike up and down the mountain, the only thing I would suggest is that the markers could be made a bit more clear, especially on the way down, we got terribly lost on the way back, and started to panic quite a bit, but at least we made it back safely. And if they say what 3 l of water each, do it, we didn't, and we suffered! Lucy and Fluffy (Labrador and Jack Russel) climbed with us, and even though we got lost they stayed with us, it made us feel calmer that they were with us, so thank you for being so well trained! We will definitely visit Lesoba again and recommend to anyone! Thanks for the hospitality!

My family and I had a very relaxing and restful stay at Lesoba. Rule was most hospitable and the home made rusks were an absolute treat. So much thought has gone in to the furnishing of each of the chalets to make them comfortable and homely. We spent most of the evenings on the stoep just absorbing the peace and tranquility of our surroundings. The hiking, which was a little more difficult than we presumed, was worth the effort. The views across the Klein Caledon to Lesotho and the majestic Maluti Mountains will be in our memories for a long time to come. The sheep from the farm became a common part of our daily experience and the kids loved watching the young lambs play and feed around their mothers. The flies can be a small irritation but not unmanageable or unbearable. There is no pool on the property which would be a nice addition especially for families with young kids. Clarens and Fouriesburg were only a short drive away and we were able to find all we needed in either of these towns. Would love to return some day.

Lesoba is off of the main road and away from anything busy. The perfect place to go if you want to disconnect with tech and connect with your family, especially if you are with Vodacom (no reception, it was wonderful! MTN had some reception). The chalet was spacious and very comfortable. It was very nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed. I loved the sound of the sheep in the background too. The grounds by the chalet were well kept and the kids were able to play outside. There is a great hike up the gorge to the top of the mountain with an amazing view towards Lesotho. The owners were also friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us, my cheeky daughter requested more rusks when we were asked if everything was okay and she got them! They also helped organise a Zipline outing which was amazing! Will definitely stop there again when we go through the area.

Can't answer honestly about our original room. We were upgraded by the hostess for unknown reasons. The suite we stayed in was fantastic. Nice, big with a beautiful view. We were kindly received and got good advice for a place to eat in Clarens. The only negative comment is that there was no fan in the unit to cool off a bit from the oppressive heat.

We stayed one night on our way back to Pretoria. The chalet was very neat and well equipped and the view over the mountains in the late afternoon was really very beautiful. When we go back in the direction we will for sure sleep over again and add a night or two.

We had a great time at Lesoba Guest Farm, away from all technology. I would only recommend that you don't drive to kiss with a small sports car.
We chose one of the chalets that were available. Feedback from Lesoba was that only apartment was available at the same price per person. I assumed that if the price was the same as for the chalet, the standard of accommodation would be the same. The apartment is an insult. Curtains are tattered and controlling the temperature of the shower water is impossible. The unit is also advertised as having a king size bed in it when it is only a double bed. The place is dark and you share a porch with the apartment next door. Upon enquiry, the host did offer us a chalet for the second night, but we no longer had enough time to change our things. Sunday morning we could not detect people at at least two of the chalets which makes us wonder why we were downgraded to the apartment in the first place. The motorized gate was also out of order, raising questions about safety.
Wow. What an absolute pleasure it was to be booked in at Lesoba. We were in the area for a big function, and were the only family not staying at the function, much to my displeasure, however, displeasure turned to pleasure, relief, relaxation when we arrived, every day, driving 20 km back to our Chalet was something to look forward to. Absolute calm is the best way to describe this farm. It's the little things that make the final difference: high end cutlery, the most luxurious towels I've ever felt, and perfect finishes like 'soft closing drawers' in the kitchen unit. These details to the little things made us feel like royalty, value for money is really good, and our host was wonderful, and really came to the party with sleeping arrangements for our toddler. I would give them 6 stars, not 5.

Was at Lesoba for 3 days because we were guests at a wedding a few kilometers away. Rule was very accommodating with a payment agreement considering the wedding was a short-notice budget nightmare. Spent my first evening on the porch sitting under a blanket and appreciating the silence. My husband and I both thought we regretted not spending enough quiet time on our own there, and were in and out the whole time. The few hours we did spend there were peaceful, more luxurious than I thought it would be. Already decided that we are definitely going to make a trip there again. This time we'll budget more time, pack the whole family, and definitely hit those hikes.

Lovely walking routes, spacious accommodation, beautiful view.
We had a wonderful four night break at Lesoba Guest Farm. The farmhouse, together with the overnight facilities, is situated at the foot of a sandstone knoll, which is so familiar to the Eastern Free State, surrounded by sheep pastures in the mighty Free State and Lesotho landscape. Walking routes give one access to views of Lesotho and the Caledon River, ruins of mud houses and stone beads, rock paintings, and some of the dogs on the farm are brave and faithful walking companions. Fouriesburg and Clarens are around the corner, as is the Golden Gate reserve, and if one wants to take the day, further villages or even Lesotho can be visited. Our only negative comment is that the hiking trail might just need maintenance: we often lost the path, sometimes because we were distracted by the beautiful area, but other times because it was overgrown, especially in the valleys where the forest is more dense. .

We really enjoyed it, thank you. We forgot our salt and pepper at home and Rule helped us out with that as well. We also went for a nice walk with the two dogs who looked after us and showed us the way (Jackal the jack russel and the big labrador). Will definitely stay at Lesoba again if we go that way again.
Accommodation was more than adequate. Stairway to loft room could have a railing fitted for safety. Some decent braai tongs would be nice. Besides that it is a really awesome place to relax.

Nature end hiking trail with dogs was a winner. Made good friends with campers on site. Braai facilities excellent. Thatched house has everything one needs.

Everything was very nice, we really enjoyed our overnight stay, and will definitely go back again for a longer stay. Just one suggestion: the directions on the booking form are not very good, the signage to the property needs to be updated as it doesn't say anything about the guest farm just Queen Victoria 3km and below the hiking sign and Lesoba 4km, very misleading we drove straight past.
Neat and comfortable. Everything you need to relax with your family. Beautiful view of the mountain. Clarens, Lesotho and Golden Gate National Park are easily accessible from the farm.

From the moment that we arrived, we were greeted very warmly. The chalet that we stayed in was warm and cosy. It had everything you could need in a self-catering home. The price, it is just value for money and I would happily pay more.
No complaints about anything, but if you sleep 8 people the hot water is too little, suggest bigger geyser.
Lesoba Guest Farm is a wonderful place, we had an amazing time there. But we did not really meet any owners, didn't get any explanations and were very confused. Afterwards we saw that we had received an e-mail with information, but we couldn't read the e-mail until after our stay due to the lack of internet.
Lesoba Guest Farm and its people went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. Will definitely go there again in the future.

Clean and neat with everything you'd need. Lucy and Jakkals (guide dogs) who accompany you on the mountain route served as a very unique part of our travels.

It was a lovely and peaceful place to relax in.
This must probably be one of the most beautiful farms in the Eastern Free State. The walking routes were beautiful with breathtaking views although the markers were unclear/overgrown in places. The hostess was very helpful and made us feel welcome. The unit was clean, tastefully decorated, with good quality crockery and linen. Lesoba is ideal for people who enjoy scenery, tranquility and hiking trails. Take good walking shoes as the terrain is uneven in places with some steep climbs to climb, and whip grasses that get into shoes can get very prickly! We all thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to Lesoba and would love to go back again.

After a 4500 km tour of the coast, it was lovely relaxing in the peacefulness of Lesoba Guest Farm before our last stretch home. The chalet was beautiful and our son enjoyed the great, open running space so much. Beautiful place to go when you're after some rest for the soul. Will definitely see us again.
Lesoba Guest Farm is located in a wonderful location. Close enough to Clarens, where you can play golf and lots of shops to walk around during the day. It is also among the most beautiful mountains and close to Lesotho's border if you want to visit Lesotho. Lesoba has two hiking trails that are incredibly beautiful and very enjoyable to walk. There are also 4x4 routes for those who want to drive instead of walking. Chalets overlook a beautiful pond and view of an incredibly large mountain.

This is a beautiful, calm place to relax. The view is just stunning. We were on out way to Clarens and decided to stay over here since it was so close. We had a very pleasant stay. The hostess was very kind and friendly. She made us feel at home. We would definitely book here again when we go to Clarens. The gravel road that leads to the farm is in very good condition. Also, we weren't pressurised to leave at 10 and she offered that we stay and chill until we were ready to leave. That was a bonus for us.

Arrived at the guest house after 19:00 ... was already dark. Only the next morning did we realise the beautiful view! Surrounded by the quintessential Golden Gate moutains. Just wanted to sit outside and stare. Ideally located for trips over the border.

When we arrived we were upgraded to a bigger unit because the place was not very busy. All the units are very neat and clean and you just feel rested after just the night's nice warm sleep. Will definitely go back.

Lesoba Gasteplaas is a beautiful place, quiet environment and you can relax. If you choose the basic accommodation option, you should know that there are only towels and a bed. Be prepared to prepare food in the lapa. There are a lot of flies (March) and the use of an ablution block 20 m from the rooms. Will go again.
Thoroughly enjoyed it! It was so peaceful to be so close to nature, and to experience a little bit of farm life. I would stay there again any time and can recommend Lesoba to people with confidence.

Hostess very friendly. Cottages very tasteful. Views of the best in the area. If you need to clear your head, Lesoba is the place for you with its hiking trails and views and in the evening the barbecue fire by the local dam only a few steps from your front porch! It was wonderful to stare at the water through the flames at night and to be able to move away all the frogs that stick to you and to be able to experience the beauty of nature again.

Leshoba is a very neat, clean and comfortable guest farm with beautiful mountains and a peaceful farm atmosphere between the mountains and sheep. The view over the blue and Malutiberge is indescribable, for sure something else. We did the route on a motorcycle and traversed all the dirt roads in the area. I would recommend Leshoba to anyone who wants to experience the tranquility of nature around them. The hanslammers were very cute, my wife Renette now just wants to farm sheep. We will visit Leshoba again anytime, we still want to do the hiking route over the mountains. Regards. Thanks Rule!
We enjoyed our stay, even if it was only for one day. The farm is on the border with Lesotho. Cell phone reception was a challenge with MTN coverage. Vodacom coverage was better.

We had a very nice stay. Had a cold shower one morning and it was pretty rough. We would also like to have chairs in the room because it is not very easy to sit on the bed and eat. The boiler can easily find a small table with a power plug with it. It's hard to boil the kettle on your bedside table, there's just too little space for it. We spent three nights there. We had a 2 bed rondavel but had to use the campers bathroom.

Accommodation is offered in 12 self-catering sandstone chalets which are situated next to a dam, as well as a self-catering cottage, self-catering units, and basic rooms with shared ablution and kitchen facilities.
The guest farm offers a number of on-site activities, including 4 hiking trails with panoramic views of Lesotho, the Caledon River and the Fourieburg district. Along the way, there is the Queen Victoria rock formation, bushman paintings and a Dinosaurs Femur embedded in rock. For the more adventurous, there are 4x4, mountain bike and quad bike routes.
